Found this story tonight on democraticunderground. At first read, it sounds like something that could be one of those schmaltzy chain emails, but so far, it checks out. Nothing on snopes or urban legends. I'll keep checking and edit as need be, but I thought you might enjoy it, even if it might be temporary!
