A 65 percent chance of an Obama victory?
By Nicholas D. Kristof

The election forecaster with perhaps the best record is Intrade, the betting site. People have to actually put money down, and on balance such sites have a better record than most pollsters or political scientists.

So if you haven’t dropped by the Intrade site lately, it’s an interesting window into where the horse race stands. Obama’s chances are roughly 65 percent, according to Intrade, and McCain’s chances roughly 35 percent.

ERIK'S NOTE: I put the real-time Intrade electoral college map at the very bottom of this blog. From now on you'll be able to peek at it by simply scrolling down to the end of the page (or just hitting the "END" button on your keyboard. Sorry, it didn't fit anywhere else.
